BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha police, which is under directly controlled by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, could not find any concrete evidence regarding harassment to Dana Majhi, who hogged international headlines after he walked about 10 km with his wife’s body on his shoulders.
BHUBANESWAR: A public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed today in Orissa High Court challenging the inaction of the state government authorities in conducting free and fair investigation and prosecution thereafter into the Dana Majhi incident.
BHUBANESWAR: Naveen Patnaik led Odisha government denied to conduct an inquiry into the Dana Majhi incident. Dana, a tribal man in Odisha walked nearly 10 kilometres with his daughter, carrying his wife’s body on his shoulder, after he was denied a mortuary van from a government hospital.
